“Friends Bar” Changes
Due to the changes in the Facebook API, all friend recruitment quests haven’t been working as intended. We’ve decided to disable these quests. If you completed one of these quests, you should see an achievement in the Legacy category:
“Congrats on being such a friendly person!”
For all Facebook games: you will no longer see the friend bar if you have no Facebook friends in game. If you still have the friend bar, you will no longer be prompted or be able to add new friends, but you can still send & receives gifts to the friends that you already have.
Firestrike is not affected as it primarily uses the Battlehouse login system.
Thunder Run players using the Kongregate platform are not affected.
Battlefront Mars players using the Battlehouse login system are not affected.
In the future, we do plan on bringing back the “friends” bar, but more as a “clan bar.” We’re open to player feedback on how they’d like to see this implemented.
If you have any suggestions about this, or any general feedback you’d like to share, please let us know over on our Thunder Run Discord Server.
Please also let players know that longer term we plan to bring the “friends bar” back as a “clan bar”, and are open to player feedback on best ways to execute that.)
To see where the design team currently stands on various Community suggested features and game improvements, check out the Thunder Run Voice of the Commander Tracker (tracker will receive some clean-up and updates to formatting in the very near future).
We have some exciting news, announcements, and more waiting for you on our most recent edition of the Battlehouse Dev Blog.

The Ruthless Event has come to close, and all the Battle Replays have been reviewed.
We understand that the rules may have been confusing for some, considering that our more recent contests were a little stricter.
So in the spirit of this season, we’ve gone ahead and made two “winner” brackets: those who destroyed the TOC the fastest, and those who destroyed the whole base the fastest! This means, more prizes for more players!
For the “destroy TOC the fastest,” here’s your list of winners:

Deactivate your mines
We have heard your feedback loud and clear, and now, it is possible to disable minefields.
You can now disable your minefields during single-player AI attacks if you wish. This will automatically remove itself if you log out, or can be removed any time you want by clicking the status indicator icon and choosing “Remove” or clicking “Manage” on any mine and then clicking “Enable Minefields”
Known issue: When building new mines, the “Disable/Enable mine” button overlapswith the progress bar. This will be fixed really soon.
BMP-1 and Elite BMP-1 Updates
In preparation for customizable loadouts that we’ll be rolling out in the near future, we’ve made small changes to the BMP-1 and Elite BMP-1 units.
Particularly, the BMP-1 will have its special troops default back to stock Riflemen, and the Elite BMP-1 units are defaulted to Elite Riflemen. The Elite BMP-1 has also been given a slight damage increase.
Some may see this as a nerf, but don’t fret, commander! Customizable loadouts are coming and it’ll be worth it!
Upgrade/Unlock mouse-wheel support
And that’s not all, Commander! We made some tweaks to the UI as well! Upgrade and unlock windows now support mouse-wheel scrolling. No more clicking on the arrows on the top left of those windows!

And that’s not all, commander! Several players pointed out that the regular MSTA seems to be more powerful/useful than its Elite counterpart. It’s been patched to make it all stats equal or slightly better at all levels, and the “Slow” impact effect still applies to give it the “Elite” name.Health, range, splash range, and damage all got boosted.
