TR: Voice of the Commander Updates – July 16th Patch Notes

New this week in Thunder Run:

Voice of the Commander Updates

We’re celebrating with a quality-of-life update based on your player feedback that’s intended to address a few of the issues and suggestions that you’ve brought forth to us via the “Voice of the Commander” trackers. Don’t see the update you were hoping for in this week’s release? Fear not, as there is still plenty more to come.

For a sneak peak at what’s coming up this season in Battlehouse games, check out the Developer Roadmap in the most recent edition of the Battlehouse Dev Blog.

New L2 Equipment Achievements

Achievement hunters rejoice! Achievements have been added for acquiring the L2 Equipment for the following units:

  • Elite Mi-24
  • Elite Harbin Z9W
  • Elite Stinger Gunner
  • Elite M1Abrams
  • Elite TOS-1A
  • Elite M109A7
  • Elite AH-64
  • Elite T-90
  • Elite Stryker
  • Elite Ka-50

More Game Improvements

  • The Weapons Factory has been updated to keep better track of your L2 unit equipment. Equipment you have already crafted will now be hidden from view.
  • Bug fix: 1LT Moore (Charlie Squad L5) had missing security team members. They’ve been rounded up and spent a night in the brig for going AWOL.

Mistaken Anti-VPN relocations

For three months, we’ve been announcing that at the start of the new season, anti-alt maps will now become anti-VPN maps.

Last week, we turned on the feature that relocated players who play using a VPN IP address on anti-alt maps, but a bug caused it to misidentify some IPs as VPN. This has now been fixed. If you believe you have been wrongfully relocated, please submit a support ticket.

To see where the design team currently stands on various Community suggested features and game improvements, check out the Thunder Run Voice of the Commander Tracker (tracker will receive some clean-up and updates to formatting in the very near future).

TR: End of Season 18 Clan Tournament, and more – July 2nd Patch Notes

New this week in Thunder Run:

End-of-Season 18 Clan Tournament

From July 2nd – July 9th, 2020, rally your Clan and head to the regional map for your chance to be the strongest Clan of Season 18!

Be one of the Top Clans with the most Clan PvP Points to win between 3,000-10,000 Gold, divided evenly among the top 10 members of your clan.

Tournament ends on July 9th, 2020 at 1700 GMT, at which point winners will be announced, prizes awarded, and leaderboards will be reset for the new season. It’s important to note that you should stay in the same Clan through the end of the tournament and for at least one hour afterward, until at least 1800 GMT to ensure your Clan’s prizes are scored correctly.

Season 19 Opens: July 9th, 2020

  • The new season will begin immediately after the end of the tournament.
  • Please be reminded that PvP points can only be accumulated on “anti-alt” maps.
  • Please also be reminded, that after the tournament ends on July 9th, 2020,  all anti-alt maps will become anti-VPN maps.  Any player connected on a VPN will not be able to join an anti-alt map. If a player switches to a VPN while already on an anti-alt map, the player will be moved to a pro-alt map.

More Game Improvements

And that’s not all, Commander! As a response to some Discord suggestions, we’ve added New Security Team Behavior Toggles.

  • Set security team behaviors for each building and for any class of units that has security teams or response teams.
  • Cycle through behaviors through an at-a-glance indicator of the security/response team’s aggression level
    • A – Attack units in aggro radius
    • H – Hold Position
    • R – Relentlessly Pursue

“Off-Facebook” Privacy Settings

📢 Attention Thunder Run, Days of Valor, Mars Frontier, War Star Empire, and Battlefront Mars Commanders on Facebook:

Facebook has recently introduced a new setting toggle that allows users to turn off a feature that they call “Off-Facebook Activity”, and since then several Facebook Sharing campaigns have gone viral encouraging Facebook users to do so. We strongly recommend that you ignore any such advice it as it it’s been brought to our attention that turning off “Off-Facebook Activity” can remove access to our Facebook Game Apps on your account and subsequently cause various issues logging into the game.

What is “Off-Facebook Activity”, anyway? It’s a tool that gives Facebook App Developers the ability to share with Facebook when people are using their app. In the case of Thunder Run, we use it to tell Facebook when a player logs in, and when our system’s ability to do this becomes blocked the user, various errors can occur. You can read more about the specifics of “Off-Facebook Activity” here.

Rest assured, if you have already turned off Off-Facebook Activity and are having trouble logging in, your base and all of your progress remain safe on our servers, and you should be able to fix the issue by simply turning the setting back on. To do this, go to your Facebook Profile “Settings” Menu -> “Your Facebook Information” -> “View Off-Facebook Activity” -> “More Options” -> “Manage Future Activity” -> and then flip the toggle to it’s “On” position like shown below.

Make sure “Future Off-Facebook Activity” is toggled to “On”

As you might have already read the most recent edition of the Battlehouse Dev Blog, we’re also in the process of working on getting Thunder Run published on more platforms outside of Facebook, and offering new account login alternatives as part of our “Project New Horizons”. Stay tuned for more information on the next step!

TR: Kongregate Needs Our Help! – April 24th, 2020

This week in Thunder Run:

Kongregate Needs Our Help!

📣 Attention Facebook Thunder Run Commanders!

As most of you probably already know, we relaunched “Thunder Run: War of Clans” as “Thunder Run: Global Warfare” on Kongregate earlier this week, and merged all of the Kongregate players into the Facebook maps. Kongregate plans to send us a bunch of new players soon for all of you to be able to recruit and do battle with, but we have to keep our game rating above 3.5 out of 5 stars on their website in order to help make that happen.

If you want lots of new people to play with in Thunder Run, and have a minute to spare: Would you be so kind as to login to “Thunder Run: Global Warfare” on Kongregate, and give the game a 5 Star rating to help us out? 😀

Instructions:

  1. Login here with your Kongregate account (or create one if you don’t have one already): https://www.kongregate.com/games/Battlehouse/thunder-run-global-warfare
  2. Refer to the screenshot below for where to find the ratings widget once in-game.

Thanks in advance, Comanders! Good hunting out there!
