MF: Welcome to Season 20!

New this week in Mars Frontier:

Welcome to Season 20!

Welcome to Season 20! Going into the new season, all Leaderboards and PvP Points are reset, meaning that it’s a fresh start for YOUR Alliance to be the new the dominating Alliance of the Season, and win the Seasonal Clan Tournament Grand Prize of 10,000 Gold for your Alliance at the end of the Season in 3 months from now. Does your Alliance have what it takes?

REMINDER: New Anti-VPN rules and detection systems go into effect. This means all anti-alt maps are now anti-VPN maps. Anyone using a VPN will be automatically kicked off the anti-alt/anti-VPN map. We accept case-by-case petitions for VPN access to anti-alt/anti-vpn maps for one account per player. Please contact support if you’d like to be whitelisted.

Game improvements

Updated Volume Control! Instead of just mute/unmute in settings, you can now more precisely control your volumes with sliding percentage controls from 0 to 100, with mouse-wheel and click-n’-hold support. Clicking the volume bar between the plus and minus sign will now mute/unmute your volume. The UI tooltip is updated to reflect this. The game will save your last unmuted volume preference and restore it if you mute. Example: Set music volume to 50%. Click the yellow bar. It’s muted. Click the empty bar. It’s instantly back to 50%.

MF: Voice of the Martian Updates – April 16th Patch Notes

New this week in Mars Frontier:

Voice of the Martian Updates

Heads up, Martians! This week we’re bringing you a couple quality-of-life updates based on your player feedback from the “Voice of the Martian” Trackers. Don’t see the update you were hoping for in this week’s releases? Fear not, as there is still plenty more to come!

For this week, the Upgrade Information bar that lists the benefits of an upgrade has had its scroll buttons fixed. Mouse-wheel scrolling is now supported.

Do you know where else mouse-wheel scrolling is supported? The Player Information Statistics tab!

And that’s not all Commanders! We’ve received complaints about some text overlapping problems for games with more than three rows worth of PvP seasons. This has also been fixed and scroll buttons have been added.

MF: COVID-19 – Impact, Helping You Play & Stay Safe

This week in Mars Frontier:

COVID-19 – Impact, Helping You Play & Stay Safe

Attention Commanders,

As COVID-19 is making it’s way across the world, our utmost concern is the health and safety of not only our employees, but also our valued players while we all traverse through this difficult time together. During this time, we urge everyone to follow all guidelines established by both federal and local authorities. If everyone does their part to help mitigate the crisis it will enable all of us to come out the other side of this much sooner.

In the meantime, to help ensure that our players have ample opportunities for entertainment while many of us will be spending more time at home in the coming weeks, we’re offering a “one purchase per player” 50%-off gold sale, and extra free daily combat and base repair kits – both of which can be activated any time throughout at least the next 4 weeks.

  • If you currently have a different sale offer running in-game, the 50%-off sale will start as soon as your current sale offer period ends.
  • The extra free daily repair kits will be claimable via the “Daily Login Reward” system. The repair kits will show as the new reward for the “Daily Login Reward” system, but the normal daily rewards will also appear when you go to place the kits in your Warehouse.
    • The home base repair kit has an expiration time of 18 hours, and the in-combat instant repair kit has an expiration of 30 minutes.

We hope this gesture makes an otherwise stressful time in everyone’s lives even the smallest bit better. More than that – we hope you all stay safe!

Sincerely,

~The Battlehouse Team

MF: Voice of the Martian Updates – February 13th Patch Notes

New this week in Mars Frontier:

Voice of the Martian Updates

Heads up, Martians! This week we’re bringing you a couple quality-of-life updates based on your player feedback from the “Voice of the Martian” Trackers. Don’t see the update you were hoping for in this week’s releases? Fear not, as there is still plenty more to come!

First up for this week, we made some changes to the “Auto-Resolve” system. For some time now, we’ve been observing some complaints regarding the use of certain auto-resolve strategies that were unfavorable to the defender with inaccurate unit power match-ups. As a result, auto-resolve capabilities have been changed so that it will now only work for small battalions, with 25% or less of their total space used. We will make more drastic changes to the auto-resolve system in the future, but for now this is a progress fix to ensure that auto-resolve battle scenarios are more fair for all players going going forward.

And that’s not all, Commanders! Second in our list our updates this week is the ability to mousewheel and/or click-and-hold scroll the Battle History window. No more clicking arrow to arrow for minutes on end while you try to find that old battle replay link from last week!

Radiation Tower Stats at Level 11

Game Improvements

And that’s not all, Commanders! Here’s a recap of the other “Voice of the Commander” centric game improvements we’ve made this week:

  • Mousewheel scrolling support has been added to multiple portions of the UI: Achievement Categories, Change Rank, Battle History, Battle Logs, Leader Training, Equipment Crafting, Relocate Base, Regional Map Bookmarks, Equipment selection for buildings and units, Alliance info, Choose Clan Symbol, and Logistics Dispatch now all support wheel scrolling.
  • Map bookmarks, Achievements, and Player Settings now support “click and hold” scrolling. If you don’t have a mouse wheel, you can still enjoy the fast, smooth scrolling. Just click and hold!
  • The Map Bookmark scroll buttons have also been changed from “left/right” to “up/down” to provide for a much more smooth scrolling experience.
