The following changes are live as of today:

  • One new map will be added: Beda Fomm.
  • Some old maps will be retired: El Alamein, Hill 609.
  • "Auto-resolve" option will be turned off in all maps.

Days of Valor: End of Season Clan Tournament

This week Days of Valor features an End of Season Clan Tournament, followed by the opening of Season 5!

Season Finale Tournament

From January 4th – 11th, rally your Clan and head to the regional map for your chance to be the strongest Clan of Season 4!

Tournament ends on January 11th, 2018 at 1700 GMT, at which point winners will be announced, prizes awarded, and leaderboards will be reset for the new season.

New Season Opens: January 11th

The new season will begin immediately after the end of the tournament. The following changes are planned:

Days of Valor (Season 5):

DoV: New Elite Unit Improvements – December 28 Patch Notes

New this week in Days of valor:

Elite Units Gain Toughness

The following units now feature 20-50% greater HP at all levels:

  • Sapper
  • Elite Stryker
  • Elite Truck Bomb
  • Elite BRDM-3
  • Elite MSTA
  • Elite BTR-90
  • Elite TOS-1A
  • Elite Stinger Gunner

And two speed improvements:

  • Elite Truck Bomb now trains and repairs 30% faster at all levels
  • Elite BRDM-3 now trains and repairs 5-10% faster at all levels

Technical Updates

  • Non-combat boost items like Fuel/Supply production boosts no longer take up space on the in-combat item hotbar.
  • Fixed a few cases where battles would not end automatically even after all enemy units and buildings were destroyed.
  • Various non-boost effects such as missile/CAS cooldowns were incorrectly counting against the player boost limit; these are now excluded from the limit.

Several units have gained stronger combat power:

Elite Truck Bomb: The Turret Killer

Several patches over the past few weeks have added more anti-turret power to the Elite Truck Bomb.

Here is a summary of the latest stats:

  • Large HP pool: up to 6,800 HP at max level
  • Damage resistance: ignores 70% of the damage from turret weapon shots
  • PLUS, new this week – Extra DPS: the Elite Truck Bomb deals an extra +100% damage against Turret Emplacements and other turret targets, over and above its listed DPS (up from +50% previously)

DoV: Landmine Balance Updates

The Days of Valor design team has been working on updates to landmines of various types and levels. The goal of this work is to make each landmine upgrade useful and important, with a matching balance of power and cost.

As a first step, the following update now takes effect today:

Mine Production Balance

  • Production time of Anti-Air Landmines is now 10% lower at all levels.

More patches are likely in the future as the landmine design work continues.

DV: New Weapons Lab and Weapons Factory Upgrades

New this week in Days of Valor:

Unlock and Build Turrets and Mines Faster

The Weapons Lab now features upgrades on the Research Rate stat, and the Weapons Factory now features upgrades on the Production Rate stat.

These upgrades lower the time needed to unlock and produce turret weapons and landmines by up to 4%, for a modest investment in ONP.
