BFM: Missile Components, Shockwave Missile, Lone Warrior Boost, and more – June 3rd Patch Notes

New this week in Battlefront Mars:

The “Lone Warrior” Boost

Attention, Martians! Some of you may have noticed a little buff called the “Lone Warrior.” What is this, you may ask? Well, we acknowledged that a lot of you have slogged through the warzones of Mars alone for so long, and we believe you deserve a little bonus. Since last week, we’ve introduced, the “Lone Warrior” boost!

Commanders going it alone without alts have their unit space limit, unit repair speed, and battalion travel speed will have a small boost!

Alt-Capping in Alt-Allowed maps

Some maps in the game are being updated with account limits.

  • Highlands and Midlands are limited to one account each
  • Lowlands are limited to five accounts on the map at the same time

This means one player can only have up to 7 accounts in the whole game. Any junior account over this limit will be transferred to the non-map by the map policing system.

Junior vs senior is determined by the following criteria:

  • Money spent. More money = higher rank (we assume you prefer this account if you spend more money on it)
  • Creation date. Older account = higher rank (it’s senior) User ID number.
  • Lower ID number = higher rank (it’s senior)

Anyone with accounts over the limits can contact support if they prefer a junior account to a senior. We can ban any accounts you don’t want so you have room to move back to the map of your choice.

New “Missile Components” system

“Missile Components” are now available to loot from enemy bases and as prizes and will replace all old style missiles in the loot system. When you have a Missile Component in your warehouse, your Missile Silo crafts its next missile instantaneously and for no resources, consuming only the Missile Component in the process.

No more waiting required! Just pick the missile you want, click craft, and it’s slotted in.

Shockwave Missile upgrades

Heads up, Commander! Our engineers just had a breakthrough on our Shockwave Missiles, and they can now have that little extra kick to them. The Shockwave Missile level cap has been increased to Level 13!

L13 Shockwave Missile Stats and Requirements

Game improvements

And that’s not all, Commander! You may have also noticed this already, but we’ve heard your feedback and you are now able to craft your missiles from Weapons Lab easier. Instead of scrolling through the “Weapons” category, there now is a separate category for your missiles.

BFM: New Missile Silo and Craftable Missiles – May 6th Patch Notes

This week in Battlefront Mars:

Craftable Missiles

Hey, Martians! Ever get tired of stealing missiles from the bad guys? Don’t you wish you had a way to produce your own? Well, now you do!

Our engineers have made some breakthroughs and we now have the ability to research, produce, and launch our very own missiles!

To begin, research any missile from the Weapons Lab. This will unlock the Missile Silo, which you can construct from your Buildings>Production menu. From there, you may research any other missiles you wish to use, and craft them under the “Produce” tab.

Once crafted, you can use them in battle!

Upgrade your Missile Silo for more missile capacity, or upgrade your missiles for more damage and AoE. Note that some higher level missiles may require blueprints purchased from the ONP store to upgrade.

And that’s not all, Commander! For the last week or so, our enemies have installed some sort of mechanism on their missiles that makes them unusable 24 hours after we have stolen them. Our engineers have cracked it, and now any non-crafted missile prizes will no longer have a 24-hour timer.

Speaking of our engineers, they’re also hard at work coming up with new missiles. In the future, we may see mine-busters, ambush/mine-detectors, or even missiles that can break us out of a siege!

Until then, rain hell upon your enemies, Commander!

Please be aware that our Alt-Account policy for Battlefront Mars has been updated, and it will soon be more strictly enforced. Effective starting April 15th, 20201, all non-alt maps will now only allow one account per person. This means one Battlehouse account and one Facebook account owned by a single player will no longer be allowed to co-exist as alts in the same non-alt map as was previously allowed. If you are currently in an anti-alt map with using one Facebook account, and one Battlehouse.com account, please relocate your desired alt to an “alt allowed” map at your soonest convenience. Alt accounts will start being automatically relocated to their proper maps starting April 15th.

BFM: Voice of the Martian Updates – February 4th Patch Notes

New this week in Battlefront Mars:

Voice of the Martian Updates

Heads up, Martians! This week we’re bringing you a couple quality-of-life updates based on your player feedback from the “Voice of the Martian” Trackers. Don’t see the update you were hoping for in this week’s releases? Fear not, as there is still plenty more to come!

Chat copy-to-clipboard

Chat messages have been updated. Was that last chat so funny you want to save it forever? Confused if someone using another language is talking trash or feeling friendly? All messages now have a “Copy to Clipboard” feature. You can paste into your favorite translation program or your secret repository of clan messages.

May the ability to translate chat messages bring more understanding and enjoyment of the game rather than less!

New “Repair Base” button

You may notice a new wrench button on your controls. This new repair base feature will allow you to bring back the repair for gold window if you chose “repair slowly”.

It will also inform you via tooltip/hovertext how much gold it will take to fully repair your base.

Best of all, once your buildings hit the free repair threshold, the wrench will turn green, indicating that you can repair all buildings for free with a single click. No more visiting each building in your base and clicking “speed up” when they hit five minutes.

BFM: New “Highlands” Map!

New this week in Battlefront Mars:

New “Highlands” Map!

Heads up, Martians! A new map for experienced players has opened. Restricted to Central Computer level 6+ and players who have been in game for six months or more.

This new sector is much like the Thunder Dome recently introduced to Thunder Run. As such, it will be anti-alt and anti-VPN. Should you move out of the Highlands at any point, any accumulated PvP Points will be lost.

Next season, only the new “Highlands” map will be ladder-enabled. So if you want PvP Points, this is the map for you!

Let the Highland games begin!

BFM: “Friends Bar” Changes – January 21st Patch Notes

New this week in Battlefront Mars:

“Friends Bar” Changes

Heads up, Martians! We have a small update this week.

Due to the changes in the Facebook API, all friend recruitment quests haven’t been working as intended. We’ve decided to disable these quests. If you completed one of these quests, you should see an achievement in the Legacy category:

“Congrats on being such a friendly person!”

For all Facebook games: you will no longer see the friend bar if you have no Facebook friends in game. If you still have the friend bar, you will no longer be prompted or be able to add new friends, but you can still send & receives gifts to the friends that you already have.

  • Firestrike is not affected as it primarily uses the Battlehouse login system.
  • Thunder Run players using the Kongregate platform are not affected.
  • Battlefront Mars players using the Battlehouse login system are not affected.

In the future, we do plan on bringing back the “friends” bar, but more as a “clan bar.” We’re open to player feedback on how they’d like to see this implemented.

If you have any suggestions about this, or any general feedback you’d like to share, please let us know over the “battlefront-mars” channel within our Thunder Run Discord Server.
