TR: Self-Service Migration is here – June 23rd Patch Notes

New this week in Thunder Run:

Attention Commanders!

Ever wanted to migrate your account to our desktop client, but can neither be a Patron nor a winner of our migration lottery a while back?

Well, now you can!

Introducing, our self-service migration system! You can now migrate your account yourself, and access your main account via Facebook (or Kongregate) and via the downloadable client in a few easy steps!

Migration Steps

1. Download the client from Microsoft Store or from HERE.
2. Install the client, run, and create a new account, preferably, via Microsoft or Google.
3. Skip the tutorial, go to your player info, and write down your newbie account’s player ID.
4. Open up your main account on Facebook, and simultaneously run both for a bit so your newbie account is recognized as an alt.
5. Go to the Store > Hardware/ONP or Store > Specials, and purchase the “Start Account Migration” item. It will not show up on your store unless you have an alt created from the Thunder Run client.

6. Activate item from Warehouse, and enter your newbie account’s player ID.

7. Go back to your newbie account on the client, and check the mail for the “Confirm Account Migration” item.

8. Activate the item from Warehouse, and restart the Thunder Run client. You should now see your main account. If you don’t, please wait 1-2 hours and run the client again.

If you want your old Facebook avatar in-game while using the downloadable client, please go here and log in with your client credentials, and change your avatar from there.

IMPORTANT: As you may have noticed from the screenshots, there are at least THREE warnings that you will LOSE the alt account. If you complete the whole process, we take it that you have acknowledged all three warnings and understood what would happen.

Gameplay changes

And that’s not all, Commanders! We’ve made a few changes based on player feedback submitted forth to us.

For a long time, battalion units that fall under a certain HP percentage suffer debuffs when attacking. Now, these debuffs are applied to defenders as well.

A few more quality-of-life changes are coming, so stay tuned!

DV: Elite AH-1Z Tweaks and more! – May 26th Patch Notes

New this week in Days of Valor:

Elite AH-1Z Secondary Weapon Tweaks

Attention, Commanders!

Our engineers have made a few tweaks to the Elite AH-1Z, based on player feedback.

The Elite AH-1Z will now automatically switch to the Sidewinder Missiles when facing air units, and automatically switch back to its default weapons afterwards. This is to address feedback that it can get cumbersome to keep pressing “E” in the heat of battle.

You still have the option of pressing “E” to manually switch weapons if you wish to micromanage your units further.

The Sidewinder Missiles also received a range increase. It is still lower than it was when it was manually targeted, as the manual target had to be high to give players enough time to aim against incoming targets.

Elite Kamov Ka-50 Skin-related bugfix

And that’s not all, Commanders! Last week, the Elite Ka-50 got its new paints!

Unfortunately, there was a bit of a mix-up and all the new paint was delivered to the Barracks instead of the Airfield. This meant that the Elite Ka-50 was only paintable from the Barracks.

We’re happy to inform you that all of that has been resolved, Commander!

Unfortunately, there was a bit of a mix-up and all the new paint was delivered to the Barracks instead of the Airfield. This meant that the Elite Ka-50 was only paintable from the Barracks.

Not only that, the Barracks staff refused, understandably, to paint any Ka-50’s brought to them; only citing “We dip fatigues in dye. This is not what we signed up for. This resulted in an error when trying to apply a new coat of paint on an Elite Ka-50 from the Barracks.

We’re happy to inform you that all of that has been resolved, Commander!

DV: Weapon Toggle System and more! – May 19th Patch Notes

New this week in Days of Valor:

Elite AH-1Z Changes

Attention, Commanders!

Our Weapon Toggle System is coming. And the Elite AH-1Z has received this update in advance.

Pressing the ‘E’ key will now switch the Elite AH-1Z’s weapon from its default 20mm Cannon to the Sidewinder Missiles, which it will then fire automatically. No more need to aim, and no more confusion on how your air units mysteriously explode in Battle Replays when facing these deadly helos.

More units will adapt our new Weapon Toggle System soon, and therefore will have secondary weapons you can choose to switch mid-battle; allowing for massive customization potential!

Elite Kamov Ka-50 Skin

And that’s not all, Commanders! The Elite Ka-50 gets its new colors this week!

To get them, simply head on over to the Store! You can either go to Store>Cosmetics to purchase them with gold; or go to “Event Prizes” to purchase them with ONP/Hardware.

Friendly reminder that only “basic” skins can be purchased with ONP/Hardware. Premium skins, such as black, hot pink, and baby blue (and more to come in the future) can only be bought with gold. And of course, red and green skins are free!

Once bought from the Store, just activate the skins from your Warehouse and head on over to your Motor Pool and choose your new coat of paint! Click “Apply Paint“, and you’re done!

Please make sure to preview the skin before buying them, Commander!

Alas, the Elite Ka-50 will be the last unit to receive new skins for a while as our paint suppliers have waved the proverbial white flag. We have more exciting stuff in store in the coming months, though, Commander. So stay tuned!

Stricter Prison Sentences

In the interest of fairness, we have updated our anti-VPN systems and repeat offenders that have been moved to Prison map will no longer be able to move out of it. Of course, our anti-VPN detection is not perfect, but we hope this encourages more players to attempt to get whitelisted and discourage repeat offenders from continuing to use VPN.
