New this week in Thunder Run:

Attention, Commanders! The next batch of elite unit skins are here!

The Elite Machine Gunners, Elite BRDM-3, and Elite Mi-24D Hind get their skins this week!

To get them, simply head on over to the Store! You can either go to Store>Cosmetics to purchase them with gold; or go to “Event Prizes” to purchase them with ONP/Hardware.

Friendly reminder that only “basic” skins can be purchased with ONP/Hardware. Premium skins, such as black (and more to come in the future) can only be bought with gold. And of course, red and green skins are free!

Once bought, just activate the skins and head on over to your Barracks, Motor Pool, or Airfield, and find the new option to change the unit colors.

Pick out the skin you bought, click “Apply Paint“, and you’re done!

More elite unit skins will be coming in the next few weeks, Commander. Care to guess which ones are next?

F-35 Airstrike bug fix

And that’s not all, Commanders! We have received reports that the F-25 Airstrike wasn’t delivering the right amount of KABOOM. Turns out the ace was carrying the Predator Probe’s sensor pod instead of the Mother of All Bombs. This logistics error has been corrected, and the F-35 now has the proper amount of KABOOM.

Moreover, we have issued refunds to anyone who bought the F-35 in the past. If you have not received your refund, please head over to our Discord and send bh-nirgal a direct message with your player ID.

Game improvements

And that’s not all, Commanders! We have made a few game improvements based on player feedback!

• Regional map battalion icons will now display your custom unit skin, if applicable. They will also be displayed in other areas, such as the “Train” and the “Unlock & Upgrade” menus.
• Minor change: when applying a skin, the window will now close and show the coloring progress bar.
• Unit displayed on battalion is now the one with the highest space requirement that at least has 25% HP. So if a battalion of one rifleman and dead Elite TOS-1A will now show the rifleman until the TOS-1A is healed up to at least 25% of its HP.

To get them, simply head on over to the Store! You can either go to Store>Cosmetics to purchase them with gold; or go to “Event Prizes” to purchase them with ONP/Hardware.

Please note that only “basic” skins can be purchased with ONP/Hardware. Premium skins, such as black (and more to come in the future) can only be bought with gold. It may also not be obvious, but red and green skins are free!

Once bought, just activate the skins and head on over to your Barracks, Motor Pool, or Airfield, and find the new option to change the unit colors.

This will open up the reskinning interface, which you can also use to preview the skins before you buy them:

Pick out the skin you bought, click “Apply Paint”, and you’re done!

Elite Unit Skins Incoming!

Attention, Commanders! For a long time, we’ve received requests on having the ability to customize our army’s appearance. Well, wait no more as elite unit skins are coming!

Colonels get Early Access

As part of our Patreon perks, alongside a sweet “Colonel’s Statue” they can place on their base, Colonels get early access to new content. So if you are a Colonel Patron, you get access to skins as early as today! That’s right! Today! Simply go to your Store, pick the skin you want, then head over to your Barracks, Motor Pool, or Airfield to apply them!

If you’re not a Colonel yet, but are interested in becoming one, head on over and check out our Patreon page!

Elite Unit Skins Start Coming in on March 10th

If you can’t be a Patron yet, fret not! You still get the this update. Starting next week, March 10th, 2022, new skins for one elite infantry unit, one elite vehicle, and one elite aircraft will be available for purchase in the Store! More elite units will get their own skins in the following weeks. Which units will get the first batch of skins? Stay tuned to find out!
